3500: Non-asbestos tank Lidpack
A hollow core
of special rubber is surrounded by a thick cushion of difibrillated
polypropylene which is itself wrapped with a protective layer of
pure PTFE tape. This forms a packing with excellent sealing ability
and maximum chemical resistance over a wide pH range. For static
applications only, ideal as lidpack for lids and doors on chemical
tanks or vessels.

from alumina silica fiber reinforced with high tensile inconel wire
and braided over an extruded non-asbestos pliable core. The
surface of the packing is treated with molybdenum disulphide with
an elastomeric binder which acts as a solid lubricant.
